Battery testers BITE5 Advanced

Adiradh offers the Battery Tester BITE5 Advanced for detailed condition assessment of stationary battery systems. Moreover, the tester supports lead-acid VLA and VRLA, NiCd, and lithium-ion batteries. Therefore, technicians can use one instrument across several battery types. In addition, the BITE5 Advanced measures cell impedance, cell voltage, temperature, ripple voltage, AC ripple current, DC float current, and inter-cell resistance.

Furthermore, the BITE5 Advanced can test battery modules up to 500 V DC. Therefore, it supports higher-voltage battery modules used in modern power systems. Also, it can test parallel battery strings without segmenting them. Consequently, technicians can reduce testing time. In addition, the instrument supports battery monitoring during both discharge and recharge tests. An integrated RFID reader also simplifies asset identification. Finally, its touchscreen, on-site trending, USB and SD card storage, and wireless PowerDB data transfer support efficient battery maintenance and condition analysis.

Battery Tester

Overview

The BITE5 Advanced Battery Tester is an impedance or ohmic tester designed to assess the state of health of stationary batteries. Moreover, it supports lead-acid VLA and VRLA, NiCd, and lithium-ion battery systems. Therefore, the tester is suitable for substations, UPS systems, data centres, telecom sites, industrial plants, and renewable power installations.

In addition, the BITE5 Advanced measures cell impedance, voltage, temperature, ripple voltage, AC ripple current, DC float current, and inter-cell resistance. Furthermore, it supports battery modules up to 500 V DC. Therefore, higher-voltage battery modules can be tested directly.

Also, the tester can monitor individual cells throughout discharge and recharge periods. Consequently, weak cells and changes in battery performance can be identified. In addition, users can test parallel strings without first isolating individual segments. Finally, RFID identification, touchscreen trending, and digital data transfer help simplify battery testing and record management.

About Product

The BITE5 Advanced Battery Tester uses battery impedance measurement to help assess changes in battery cell condition. Moreover, it measures impedance together with cell voltage and temperature. Therefore, technicians can compare individual cells and identify abnormal changes within a battery string. In addition, the tester measures inter-cell or strap resistance using a higher test current. Consequently, poor or corroded battery connections can be identified.

Furthermore, the BITE5 Advanced supports impedance testing on modules up to 500 V DC. It also measures ripple voltage, AC ripple current, and DC float current. In addition, its voltmeter supports measurements up to 1000 V DC and 600 V AC.

Also, the instrument supports discharge and recharge monitoring. Therefore, measurements can be recorded throughout the complete test period. Finally, its RFID reader can recognise battery assets without manual data entry, while USB, SD card, and wireless PowerDB connectivity support result storage and analysis.

Technology & Benefits

The Battery Tester BITE5 Advanced combines impedance testing with voltage, temperature, current, and inter-cell resistance measurements. Moreover, impedance testing helps users track changes in battery condition over time. Therefore, routine tests can help identify weak or abnormal cells before they cause battery system problems.

Furthermore, the BITE5 Advanced accurately measures inter-cell strap resistance using a higher test current. Therefore, technicians can identify loose, poor, or corroded battery connections. Also, parallel battery strings can be tested without segmenting them. Consequently, test preparation and overall testing time can be reduced.

In addition, the BITE5 Advanced records measurements during both discharge and recharge testing. Therefore, users can assess cell behaviour throughout these processes. Also, the touchscreen displays trends directly on the tester. Consequently, results can be reviewed at the site. Finally, RFID asset identification and wireless PowerDB transfer simplify battery identification, data storage, analysis, and long-term condition trending.
