Adiradh offers the Megger CI/LCI Cable Identifier for accurate cable identification before cutting, jointing, termination, or repair work. Moreover, the system helps technicians find the required cable when several cables run together. Therefore, it can support cable checks in utility, industrial, and electrical maintenance work.
The CI system helps identify de-energized primary cables. In addition, the LCI system helps identify live secondary cables up to 240 V AC. Furthermore, the LCI-440 option supports live secondary cables from 240 V to 440 V AC.
The transmitter sends a DC pulse through the target cable. As a result, the pulse creates an electromagnetic field around the cable. The receiver then detects this field with a suitable sensor or flexible clamp. Moreover, the receiver checks the signal polarity and size to help the user identify the target cable.

The Megger CI/LCI Cable Identifier is a portable system for identifying and verifying electrical cables. In particular, the CI configuration is intended for de-energized primary cables. Meanwhile, the LCI configuration is designed for identifying energized secondary cables within its specified voltage range.
Furthermore, the receiver evaluates characteristics such as signal polarity and magnitude. In addition, the system uses pulse characteristics to help distinguish the identification signal. Consequently, the operator can use the detected response to verify the required cable before starting electrical work.

The Megger CI/LCI Cable Identifier provides a dedicated method for cable identification and verification. Therefore, it can be useful when several cables are installed together and visual identification alone is not sufficient. Moreover, the system supports different identification requirements through the CI and LCI configurations.
The CI system is intended for identifying de-energized primary cables. In contrast, the LCI configuration is designed for energized secondary cable identification up to 240 V AC. Furthermore, the LCI-440 option extends the specified application range to 240–440 V AC.
The CI-TX transmitter generates an identification pulse, while the CI-RX receiver detects the corresponding electromagnetic signal. Moreover, the receiver evaluates the signal response to help distinguish the target cable. As a result, the system provides a signal-based approach to cable identification during maintenance, installation, and repair activities.
The Megger CI/LCI uses a controlled DC pulse identification method. First, the transmitter introduces the identification pulse into the cable. Consequently, an electromagnetic field is produced around the cable. The receiver then detects this field through the selected sensor or flexible clamp.
Furthermore, the receiver evaluates important signal characteristics, including polarity and magnitude. In addition, pulse shape and frequency can help differentiate the identification signal from other electrical signals. Therefore, the operator can assess the receiver response when identifying the required cable.
The system also provides flexible sensing options. For example, flexible clamps can be used around suitable cables, while touch sensors can provide an alternative where a conventional clamp cannot be fitted. Moreover, the transmitter can operate from an AC supply or its internal battery. As a result, the CI/LCI is suitable for a range of field cable identification applications.
