To detect faults at the earliest possible stage Test Voltage up to ±10 kV DC sources are used to test sheath insulation and DC impulse signals for locating sheath faults.The intuitive menu-driven operation of the Sheath Fault Locating System with fully automatic measurement and evaluation enables the testing of cable sheaths as well as the pre-location and pinpointing of cable sheath faults in the simplest way possible.The very powerful High Voltage DC source with positive and negative polarity allows the testing of HV cables.The bi-polar function ensures the elimination of external thermoelectric and galvanic influences.

Sheath fault location system MFM 10 is fully automatic measurement and evaluation of the measured data gives the operator a fast, easy and reliable tool to test the sheath of cables, and to perform a prelocation and pinpointing of detected faults. The bipolar prelocation supports the detection of galvanic and thermoelectric influences and increases the prelocation accuracy and quality. Seba KMT MFM 10 with fully automatic measurement and evaluation enables cable sheath testing as well as the pre-location and pinpointing of cable sheath faults. The powerful 10 kV DC source with positive and negative polarity also enables HV cable testing.The bi-polar function ensures the elimination of external thermoelectric and galvanic influences. A multi-section facility allows the entry of cable segments with different parameters. The available high current of up to 750 mA also enables the “burning” of difficult cable faults.

Earth fault locator ESG NT

Earth fault locator ESG NT is used to pinpointing cable sheath faults with great accuracy.Using a bright, sun readable TFT color display makes it very easy use.The displayis by a bargraph, similar to the analogue display or by a history display, which shows the deflections of the last 7 pulses. A fully automatic calibration keeps the display always at zero and the integrated noise suppression eliminates all influences by DC, Railway currents, industrial plants and high resistive soil environment. By two earth rods, the ground step voltage potential is measured and the direction towards the fault is indicated by the display.

ESG NT earth fault locator measures the step voltage potential produced by a test generator in the underground. Other existing underground distortions such as potential equalisation current, DC offset, 16 ⅔ Hz or influences of ca-thodic protection systems are automatically detected and eliminated. The automatic zero calibration maintains display calibration continuously at zero.
